NCAA track championship meet

Four ISU women will be competing at the ncaa championship meet this weekend at Texas A&M University. Not only are these 4 participating, but all 4 have an excellent shot to score points for ISU. All have big meet experience and should do well. The meet is Friday and Saturday.

Two ISU men had provisionally qualified, but were too far down the list to make the field.

Tough meet for Moore, she dropped out of the Heptathlon and was 15th in the 800, so her meet is done.

Kelsey Hanley was 15th in the women's weight throw, not a good 1st day for ISU by any means.

I think Erica Moore was dqed in the 800 for 2 or more consecutive steps on the line. Well at least that is what I think rule 5-3-e is.

this is the 3rd year in a row the MVC has had at least 1 NCAA champion at the indoor meet.

Next year looks good for ISU, all 4 women's qualifiers are back, so ISU could potentially score alot more points at the 2010 indoor NCAA meet. The men should have some NCAA qualifiers make the meet too.

this year the team tied for 22nd place overall.
