with northern iowa deciding to drop their baseball program, does anybody think that the sycamores can entice some of their better players to transfer to isu next season? just a thought.

most likely they'll transfer to Drake, er, I mean Iowa State, wait, Iowa.
UNI has some good players worthy of trying to get to come to ISU though.

Not that there may be a whole lot of hope, but I found this on www.collegebaseballinsider.com a few days ago...

Attempt to Save Baseball at Northern Iowa
Northern Iowa baseball has been given an opportunity to save its sport.
If $1.2 million can be raised by April 5 to fund the program for three years, UNI baseball will return. A Web site has been established for donations: www.SupportUNIBaseball.com.
More than $200,000 has already been raised, including a $25,000 pledge from Perfect Game. Jim Ecker has several stories about UNI’s situation at www.perfectgame.org.
