Well deserved award and no surprise to anyone who has witnessed this one year transformation to a mirror image of last year finish...and the best finish since 1998 for the regular season. He picked up some great players from JC's and a few great freshmen contributors. If everyone returns who is eligible to return next season, that will be a huge base for another run at the first place finish and beyond. This year's finish, the base of players and the new stadium will be big draws for recruits.

Nine all conference picks, coach of the year, second place finish--I don't think anyone really expected this kind of a season. Now all we need to keep things going well is to
BEAT Wichita!

Anybody having trouble understanding why the other coaches voted Meggs this award? After all, he's just from Indiana State!

Awesome. This has to be a great recruiting tool, I would think. I hope we eventually see this kind of turnaround with men's basketball and football as well.

Sweet news! I've been off the board for a few days and this is a welcome piece of good news going into tomorrow's game. Congrats to Coach Meggs, as well as many of the deserving players with their all-conference selections. The fact that the 2nd place team in the MVC has the Coach of the Year and 9 All-Conference pics is a testiment to the quality of ISU baseball!
