Found this guy on Rivals today looking for someone else.
Jackson has about ten Division I offers at this point in time from the likes of DePaul, Southern Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana State, St. Louis, Northern Illinois, Eastern Illinois, and Detroit.
He also recently picked up an offer from Iowa State and his high school coach states he wants to play in a big time conference.

13. Phillip Jackson, 6-8, PF, Chicago (Providence St. Mel) ... Progress has stagnated somewhat, but he's looking for a bounce-back July. He is fluid with speed running up and down the floor. Long, a body to build on. Has developed a decent turnaround jump shot but still very inconsistent offensively but has a nice touch. Has to become more aggressive, find a way to draw fouls, get to the line.

"he wants to play in a big time conference." And people in heaven want heat.....sorry, screwed that up....people in hell want ice water. I wanna......... generation X, gen y, gen I want my music, I want my coffee....ISU doesn't need a guy that's all about him.....let's stick with what works for us.....
let's get those guys, who..if they were 2" taller and 15 lbs heavier........would be playing in the Big East....they're out...and underlooked.....Matt Renn is a prime example...if that dude had been 6' 9 1/2" he'd be pro balling today....

PHILLIP JACKSON, 6-8, PF, Chicago (Providence St. Mel)
There were a few players that made the most of their opportunities in July and Jackson was one of them. He showed a willingness to defend, rebound, block shots and mix it up around the basket against some high-quality players, particularly in Las Vegas. He runs the floor extremely well for his size, is bouncy and active. Although still raw offensively and lacking ideal strength for his size, Jackson has the upside you seek in big men.
Hoops Report Analysis: Jackson can be an impact guy at the right level. Although bigger schools may come calling he may be better suited for the mid-major/mid-major plus level. If it stays at the mid-major level, it should come down to a Illinois State-Southern Illinois battle, two schools that have been in on Jackson very hard through the process. DePaul, Providence, Marquette and Iowa State.

There is no question that Illinois State University has made significant headway in their recruitment of a pair of class of 2010 prospects--6'1 shooting guard Mike McCall from Foreman High School in Chicago and 6'8 forward Phillip Jackson, who recently decided to transfer from Providence-St. Mel High School in Chicago. This is due largely to the efforts of assistant coach Paris Parham, who continues to do an outstanding job of utilizing his strong ties throughout the city of Chicago. It is starting to look very much like McCall could end up at a program in a mid-major conference, where he would be an absolute steal for any school at that level. Jackson's recruitment is a little bit tougher to gage at this point.
