The Indiana State women?s basketball team was picked to finish third in the annual Missouri Valley Conference preseason poll of head coaches, media representatives and sports information directors during the league?s Media Day activities today.

I am very pleased that ISU's Laura Rudolphi made the Pre-Season All-MVC. I was shocked to see that the 2006-07 Pre-Season Player of the Year -- Jill Martin of Drake, a two time first team All-MVC player -- was not on the All-MVC team. I'd be very surprised if she is not 2007-08 Conference Player of the Year unless the injuries she sustained last season were crippling.
