Mark also plays safety for Lyons Township. Mark is the brother of current Sycamore safety Alex Sewall. He recently was in for an unofficial visit at the Blue/White Game. He is also receiving interest from South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, and Bowling Green.

That's a good family tradition that he may continue with ISU. His brother's success may have a big role in Mark's future.

Mark's first game on Friday: 3 punt returns for 125 yards and a 70 yard TD, an interception returned 40 yards for a TD, and 4 receptions for about 60 yards. He's playing corner on defense instead of safety, so his tackle numbers are going to go down a little, but showing at corner may actually help him with recruiting.

With Alex being at Indiana State, we may have an advantage with Mark.

Thanks Jason. Mark was also the MVP for his team, which was an Illinois state 8A quarterfinalist, ESPN Chicago honorable mention all-state, and was named the best all around player in the West Suburban Conference. Indiana State was up at his high school last week visiting with him and an offensive lineman. I have some video, but I'm trying to figure out how to post it. He has also had South Dakota State, Western Illinois, and Northern Iowa visit him at school.

Mark has been offered a scholarship by Indiana State. Could we have another Sewall patrolling in the Sycamore secondary?

Congratulations and best wishes. It has been a real treat to watch Alex become one of the top defensive backs in school history. Thank you for raising such an outstanding young man. I look forward to a second helping of Sewalls over the next few years!
