NCAA Cross Country championships

ISU won't have any participants in this years' meet, but it will still be a great meet none the less. It's on Monday, I believe it's on TV and will be broadcast live on the internet as well. I'm sure flotrack will be blogging from the meet.

If you're in the area you should attend the meet, I'll be there, along with many other track/cc alums from ISU. This is the last NCAA championship meet at ISU until it rotates back in 2013, so get out and see this while you can.

Disappointing, yes, but I'm sure anyone who cares to watch the races will be able to view them on Flotrack. Even if it's after the fact, it's better than nothing. I know I'll later watch the Flotrack footage even though I'll be at the meet. That is, unless someone can get me a seat on the lead gator. :bigsmile:

XC I wouldn't be so sure that FloTrack is going to cover the race, my understanding is that's not the case... At least last word is that's not the case, they don't have a designated Gator and that is a pretty good indicator that they are NOT going to cover the actual race.

That is correct. They are not allowed to film any actual footage of race due to NCAA restrictions.

I stand corrected. Flotrack's absence, along with the lack of TV coverage, is an unlucky circumstance for all the folks who can't see the meet in person.

Great article - thanks for posting, probably wouldn't have seen it other wise... Have you seen the cross country meet yourself ISUTREEFAN?

I encourage those of you who will be in town on Monday or can get off work to head out to the Gibson course and witness something fantastic. It will be well worth your time away from the office, I can assure of that much!

Oregon was supposed to host the NCAA CC meet in 2011, but apparently that's not going to be the case, so hopefully it will return to Terre Haute next season too

Reason being the course that they were (still maybe are) going to run that NCAA Championship meet inside a horse track... I have personally seen the course they were/are going to run that meet on and it's a joke! First class joke and it aint even in Eugene OR.
