They had a press conference on Saturday at the Terre Haute Convention and Visitors Bureau, this is a pretty neat thing coming to Terre Haute. Tells me a couple things:
1. Dave Patterson head of THCVB recognizes how important Cross Country and Track are to this community. Due in large part to us hosting the NCAA D1 National Championships and the IHSAA State meet in Cross country every year. A lot of people to thank and point to for making this happen, but big thumbs up to Mr. Patterson for helping bring this to Terre Haute.
2. The IHSAA thinks enough of Terre Haute as a community and understands the imprint this community has made as Cross Country Town USA to bring the Highschool coaches HOF to the Haute. Pretty cool when things like this start happening!
It sounds to me like they are going to do-it-up-right also, should be a pretty nice deal! Construction to begin soon on this project!
