On GoSycamores.com would have been a good idea since some of the MVFC is doing it and since the event was cancelled.

It's not done, either. There are some names missing that I've been told about.

I was hoping for more D-line help. Hopefully the two guys they have coming in will beef up the defensive front. I suppose it's also possible that a few of the offensive linemen are converted to defense.

I feel the interior d-line is is where ISU lacked a little last year.

Yea Hardy will be back and I imagine Jordan Bright is looking at a starting spot for his senior year. He's a big body in there. Also I think your right we'll probably convert some o-line over...we do have 17 possible returning. Although some significant number of last years team has to be looking at a tough spring ball. Walkons will have it rough I'd imagine come spring. They will have to cut players I'd imagine to make room for the scholarship kids. I guess we could bring back some of the better walk one post camp. Ins't there a rule about that where we can add more than the 89 man roster once season begins? It seems like we had two kids show up like this last fall.

I think the roster limit is 90 and it only applies on preseason activities up until the first days of classes. After that, you can go over. I think that's it?

That sounds right. I'm sure there is a max though. 100? 110?? I guess I'll be curious to see who graduates/transfers/quits/gets cut etc. I love that we're bringing in top tier talent! This is a huge signing class and next year looks to be just as big I'd imagine.

I've never seen a limit, so I'm not sure. The NCAA has locked down their football bylaws, so I can't do a search for it, either.

Looks like there is no roster limit. Everyone above those 90 are considered preferred walk-ons. What would matter is that they appear to have Title IX implications.

I think it's 95. There are a lot of DBs in this class--athletes I suppose that could move to different postitions, but more importantly provide depth for special teams. The DL starters I assume will be Obaseki, Hardy, and Lawrence Young. Is Bright still on the team? It's unfortunate with his physical tools that he just doesn't have the motor to play--maybe as a 3rd down pass rusher, but that would be about it. I know one or 2 of last years OL recruits are moving to the DL. The battle for the starting LBs will be interesting; we added a few excellent players at that position to a pretty strong group.

as well as a friend of mine, who forwarded me a list of players who had sent in their scholarship papers as of this morning.

I had originally planned on going over to Indiana State today and spending the day in the football office and then sending out updates. But the icy roads and bad weather prevented me from doing that.

Any insight on which players the coaches think could play early?
