Kylie is seeded 3rd in the pole vault!

Erica is seeded 2nd in the 800m!

I talked to Kylie today and she is recovering from the flu that she had earlier in the week. Her vault practice today went well and she is confident going into the meet. It would not surprise me if she jumps 4.55m+ this weekend.

You can follow Kylie on her facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kylie-Hutson/195273313832365

Erica is also recovering from the flu but workouts have been solid the past 2 weeks.

Check out USATF.org for results and live webcast.

Is there a shortage of flu shots in AZ and TN?

It's on ESPN. Wright controlled it from the front, and Erica just kinda tagged along. Altitude looked to affect the pacing a bit. 59.9/2:02

impressive at altitude though!

Darn I missed it - I've been flipping back and forth between college hoops, Nascar and track and field.

@ SycamoreStateOfMind what are Moore's chances at London? What is the outlook in the 800? Any ideas

I'd say she's got an outside chance at this point, although she's made unbelievable strides toward making that possible.

I guess the only thing that I would say to keep in mind, not everyone is racing for USATF Indoor National Championships, I am not to familiar with some of the top names in the sport and wont pretend to be. But some athletes are more geared to run the 800 indoors and outdoors can be a different animal. I doubt that it would have a negative effect on Erica because she is so strong.

Maybe Wayton or Martin can provide us with a little more insight on Hutson and Moore chances of making it to the Olympics - as they do this track and field stuff daily, I don't... lol Hope this helps.

We will probably have a better idea of her chances after outdoor season. If she can break 2mins outdoors then she will definetly be in the mix. Phoebe Wright, Alysia Johnson, Morgon Uceny (from plymouth,IN I believe), Magee Vessey, and Anna Pierce are really tough. However some of those athletes may run other events and some of them are very inconsistent (Vessey in particular). Right now I would say these ladies are just beyond her grasp. But, I think by the end of outdoor some of them may be within her grasp. Of course my opinion is probably a little bias though haha!
