ISU opens MVC play at SIU this weekend, I'd guess if the ISU bats stay awake they could win this series and get off to a good start in MVC play.

SIU wins easily 7-2, ISU was never in the game, bad opening for MVC play again.

ISU being blown out again 9-3 in the 5th, ISU was leading 3-1 but has fallen flat since then. Not much offense for ISU this series. The brutal early season schedule hasn't seemed to help much yet.

Gonna be off to an 0-2 start in the MVC after today's game. 4-12 overall.

Pitching is still ISU's crutch.....

it's 3-2 SIU leading in top of the 3rd at SIU today, it sure would be nice to get at least one win over SIU.

ISU wins 15-6 today, now 1-2 in MVC play, 5-12 overall.

Illinois comes to ISU for what will hopefully be the home opener for ISU, on Tuesday.
