Would be a nice pickup @ SF...I see where his dad also had played @ NM in '79-80. Sometimes you've gotta chart your own course in life.

I see where his HS coach, IN "legend" Pete Trgovich, threw in the coaching towel after making a "racial claim" last March v. the IHSAA.

The HS squad he was on in '71 was one of the best-ever in IHSAA history, and included Tim Stoddard & Junior Bridgeman. His '72-75 UCLA squads weren't too shabby either:

At one time rated as a Rivals top-150 player (per the Lobos website...I can't find any proof of that, though), and was a 3-star recruit out of high school. 6'5 and looks super athletic. I wonder how much credit can be given to the tweet, though. Either he's transferring to a better high-major school (Creighton, Michigan, Purdue, etc.) or those are wish-list schools and it's really between Illinois State and us.

This would also require an open scholarship, so....

Since he would be a transfer and have to sit a year, I wonder how creative the athletic department could get with a redshirt and the Larry Bird scholarship?

That was what I was thinking, as well.

He wouldn't be permitted to practice with the team though, right? He'd have to be on athletic scholarship I assume. Similar to what happened with TJ Bell when he gave up his scholarship for one year?

Almost forgot about a long historic tie of TH/ISU with East Chicago...JOHNY BARATTO.

It would be a big get to pull this kid from a pool of these schools.

Look like mid-major stats last year. Not a great catch for the big schools.

I agree...has he visited ISU yet and seen the "Wooden" name @ HC (and connected the dots to his HS Coach's playing dayz @ UCLA)?
