Golden just tweeted that Jake has tendinitis in both knees and will rest in practice. Congrats to Jake for his achievement.

Good stuff Jason. Helps that he's gotten to nod his entire career, good health and big PT = record books! He has earned it and we've been saying it a few years that he'd go down as one of the best to ever play for the Sycamores.

Really would like to see him lead this team to another big dance and perhaps a win or two beyond that to help solidify himself as one of the best to ever play here.

Statistically speaking....assuming he's able to finish this season with similar stats as he's had the past three seasons, one could argue he's the second best player in ISU history.

    Statistically speaking.

One could argue that if he had great health his numbers could be even better.

Yes no doubt. But all players deal with injuries, something to be said for a player that shows up for work each day no matter what he is dealing with! That is part of playing at this level, only the toughest, most dynamic players set records in every statistical catagory.

Perhaps the most complete player we've seen at IState since Larry Bird.

Jake has passed Michael Menser to move into 12th all time in scoring and Jim Smith to move into 3rd all time in assists. He will jump several people in several more categories within the next couple games to boot.

if Jake wants to take bb to the next level he is going to have to get away from these injuries, especially in the NBA, look it seems he has been here for ever, red shirted definitely help him to get ready for the real thing. Just has to keep improving the jumper, outside shot, we all know he can drive, just ask University of Miami in OT victory .

Go Jake, after this year we will miss you

Jake is not an NBA player. Probably my favorite Sycamore of all time, but not an NBA player.
