As I mentioned in the EIU thread, it will be nice having the extra time for Sparks to pick up reps with the 1s and work on his touch. There is no way that he shouldn't be the starter going forward.

Also hope everyone that went down with an injury in the EIU game is okay. Taylor's injury looked bad and I'd hate to lose McCoy like that, too. I thought there should have been a flag to boot -- pretty sure Mallory did as well.

I'm in total agreement with you.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't this excited about a Sycamore loss since we lost to Purdue in a close one 4 years ago...however, let's not get too far in front of our skis here.

We could have 100 days to practice, a 200 day game plan, and no injuries for this game...and the point spread is still going to be 48.

P.S. I made the 48 up, it could be 58 for all I know.

How will they play in front of 100,000 orange fans and listening to Rocky Top the whole game?

Not sure if you saw but I posted in another thread that Titus hurt his shoulder when he landed on it. X-rays were negative so he'll be fine. He likely had strep though but it won't affect his play Saturday.

Sidenote: Titus is a lifelong Vol fan. This game will have special meaning to him. I hope he gets a few more touches Saturday.

Just saw it -- that's great to hear. I felt like that shot the EIU kid took was pretty bush league but it may have just been a bang bang unfortunate play. Anyhow, I hope they find a way to get him some more touches this upcoming week as it is likely the only time we'll play Tennessee during his career here.
