in the past some of the money games the SEC played were the last week of the FCS season. That would be a nice road trip to warmer weather.

I read that we were guaranteed only $500,000; that seems low considering the travel and what we receive from Big Ten schools.

well, if its a 11 game season year there may not be a big ten demand driving the prices up

Doesn't the P5 school usually cover travel expenses in addition to the $500,000? I thought I read that somewhere...

It just all depends on what schools have open dates when. Supply and demand. Per a friend of a friend that used to work for Jurich this year's UL game date was a bidding war (to wit: lowest bidder) between us and EKU. We demanded a lower payday and lower ticket allotment, etc. so we got it. I'm guessing for this UGA game Clink, Curt, and Co. looked at what Power 5 dates were open in 2023 and compared other potential opportunities (if there even were that many) with this UGA opportunity and went ahead with it.

Enough to pay half of Lansing's salary and more than half to buy him out. Maybe we could get an advance.

And lose a fair portion of the operating budget for the year? I doubt that will happen!
