If we get shutout and lose to Northern Iowa 33-0, there isn't a high chance we can beat SDSU. This is my opinion

I'd like to see us score and control the clock enough so that the defense isn't out there all day. Just looking for small improvements against the MVC's best at this point.

With this game ultimately we want a win, but we all need to be realistic.

I agree with Coach when he says we just need to improve week to week.
Wins can come with improvement relative to the talent of the team we are playing:
1: Can we move the ball and control the some of the clock
2: Can we score if we get in the red zone
    3: Can we eliminate penalties
4: Can our special teams produce and contain
5: Can our defense not give up big plays
    etc....

And as said by NIKLZ62, can we get out of there with no injuries.

This thread is already (understandably) defeatist and depressing. Ugh.

I am patient, but do you all realize Sanford didn't win a single D-1 game in his first season, but by this time his second season (week 5) we were Top 25 in the nation, had beaten Ball State in Muncie to get the Bell, hung with IU, and beat a nationally ranked Liberty? And by the time week 5 was over we beat nationally ranked UNI and moved to the Top 20.

That was only 4 years ago...

I would argue that his first season had to do more with it being the worst injury season I remember. Id also argue that Sanford was left with a diffeent quality team than what he left Mallory.

I think his third season was more injury-plagued than his first IIRC. Either way, even his losing seasons included many close games and some wins after 2013, and 2014–only his second season—was a great success.

As it stands now we haven’t even scored a touchdown for three straight MVFC games going back to last year.
