    Ryan Boyle Earns MVFC Newcomer of the Week for Second Time

    ST. LOUIS -- Indiana State quarterback Ryan Boyle has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Newcomer of the Week, the league office announced Sunday. It marks the second weekly honor for Boyle after he was tabbed MVFC Newcomer of the Week following his week six performance as South Dakota State.

    Yes I think it was the knee injury as well as him missing spring practice and possibly being a little behind on the playbook.

    Regardless, it sorted itself out and we have some stability at QB for the next year and a half.

    I thought after watching preseason practice that he was the better of the two because of his arm strength. I was asked by a couple people when I thought he would take over as the starter. My reply unfortunately ended up being correct. I said he would start the game after Louisville because Kilpatrick would get injured in that game.
