    Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame

    the late Dan Dimich, South Bend Washington, Indiana State star will be inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame on March 19, 2019.


    Dan Dimich graduated from S.B. Washington High in 1944; he is also a member of that HS' HoF. While at State, he played for both John Wooden and John Longfellow; he was a vital member of the 1947-48, 1948-49 and 1949-50 teams which appeared in the NAIB National Tournament.

    Following the 1950 title by State, he was named to the NAIB all-tournament team and named an NAIB All-American.

    He joins his fellow ISU teammates Duane Klueh, Lenny Rzeszewski and Jim Powers, Sr. as Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame inductees.

    He was a teacher & at several Indiana High Schools (French Lick Red Devils, Brookston Bombers, Pendleton Irish & South Bend Clay Colonials; he retired in 1986, continuing to reside in his hometown of South Bend; he passed away in 2008.
