The 2019 Indiana Pacers Silver Medalist (who is automatically inducted into the Hall of Fame) is:

Terre Haute native and ISU Alum John Grimes.

Coach Grimes is a former Head Coach for the men’s basketball team at Marian University. Over a career of 36 years, his teams established a record of 566-408. At his coaching retirement, he had the 6th most wins in Indiana college history, the 13th most in NAIB/NAIA history & and he was the 10th active coach in NAIA history to win 500 games with one program.

His teams had 4 NAIA national tourney berths, won 3 Mid-Central Conference (now Crossroads League) championships & he won MCC “Coach of the Year” honors 6 times.

In 2012, Marian named their basketball court in his honor. He is a graduate of T.H. Gerstmeyer High & Indiana State.
He resides in Brownsburg.
