    Back to the trenches.

Hopefully UNI will be a little demoralized after their loss to Drake yesterday.

We're 10-6 overall. Here are our records during the Lansing era after 16 games played:

    2011 9-7
    2012 11-5
    2013 10-6
    2014 13-3
    2015 8-8
    2016 9-7
    2017 6-10
    2018 7-9

Soooo...we're trending up. I'll take it.

    Oops, yes, yes they did.

Hopefully UNI will be a little over-confident after their win over Drake yesterday.

UNI is the same Jacobsen-coached team you'd come to expect, but they don't have the horses they've had in the past. They slow the crap out of the tempo, shoot a lot of perimeter shots, and they don't get to the free throw line. They're very middle of the road on both offense and defense. They don't do anything all that well, and they don't do anything all too poorly. If you look up the definition of Vanilla in the encyclopedia, it'll reference the 2018-2019 UNI basketball team.

As for us, we're the worst offensive team in the Valley...and it's not particularly close. Our defensive metrics show that we're an upper-half defensive team, however. If we somehow manage to remember how to score the ball again, we may not be so bad (provided our defense doesn't slip). Right now, though, we're walking a VERY tight rope with zero room for error.

I'm picking UNI to win this game primarily because they're playing at home, and they've also played all of their MVC games very closely. We, on the other hand, have won two close games and were blown out in two. UNI is just more consistent and we're still sputtering along.

If we do lose by single-digits, it'll be the first time it's happened this season.

All of our games that have been decided by single-digits, we've won.

All of our losses have been by 11 points or more.

We need to get Barnes going again.....he's been off since the Loyola game. I know he was sick.....is he back to 100% physically yet?

Would really be nice if Neese could have some sort of a break out game......maybe 4 of 5 from behind the arc.... couple free throws....5 assists....3 rebounds.....I'd take that.

Wow...I hadn't realized that. Unbelievable statistic. When we lose, we go all in!
