Saw a Public Notice in todayís Indy Star that ISU is seeking proposals to remove the mound at Memorial Stadium.
Does anyone know what the plan is for that space?

I would assume has to do with moving Homecoming tents inside.

Gotta make it where it is an attraction that is fun and makes fans want to come back.
Or, do you think Mallory already has ideas for that space?
Either way it’ll be an improvement.

Touchdown Corner always looks packed to me. Iím not sure what the thinking is. The hill being gone is fine...it looks bad from a visual perspective because nothing is ever taken care of properly around here. Iím just not sure that moving TD Corner there is the right move.

So fans can heckle the visiting team from a few feet away? I'd be good with that.

All of this just confuses the hell out of me... Over the years the randomness that is Indiana State Athletics & Indiana State Football at Memorial Stadium...

First we tear down the bleachers on that north side.

    Then we add a mound.

Then we add a practice field.

Then the practice field is abandon.

Then we bring the practice field back to life.

Then we add an alumni area in the end-zone.

Then we move tent city from outside the stadium to inside.

    Then we bulldoze the mound.

Then we move the alumni area further away from the field and line of sight to the action.

You want to know what a shit plan looks like? Look no further. They don't have a plan... Making things up as we go and hopefully everyone likes it and if not then tough - deal with it. That is how this goes - either like what they're making up as they go or deal with it. None of these said "enhancements" actually made a difference.

To be fair, reading your list, they do at least manage two or three good ideas to every bad (head-scratching) one.
