This is a big time meet out at LaVern Gibson Saturday morning, if you have time come watch the meet before football. Many of the top ranked teams in the nation are running, it's kind of a pre national meet to the actual pre national meet in October.

The men's race is at 9, the women is right after. AND it's FREE!

Men's ranked teams coming are Northern Arizona (1), Iowa State (5), Stanford (7), Indiana (16) and Purdue (24)

Women's ranked teams are Washington (3), Michigan (4), Arkansas (5), Stanford (8) and Indiana (28) and (RV) Northern Arizona

Other D1 teams for the men include Central Arkansas, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Indiana State, Illinois, IUPUI, North Alabama, Northern Colorado, and Valparaiso.

The non D1 teams include Depauw, Franklin, Hanover, Indiana Wesleyan, Oakland City, Rose Hulman, Transylvania, Wabash, and Vincennes

More than likely among the D1 teams ISU will probably only beat Valpo (at least I hope we beat them). At this point we just can't compete with teams like this. Hopefully we won't lose to any of the non D1 teams but it's possible we do get beat by some of the non D1 teams.

The other D1 women's teams are Central Arkansas, Eastern Illinois, Illinois, Indiana State, IUPUI, North Alabama, Purdue, and Valparaiso.

The Non D1 teams are DePauw, Florida Gateway College, Franklin, Hanover, Indiana Wesleyan, Oakland City, Rose Hulman, Stephens, Transylvania, and Vincennes.

Same goes for the women, they're not really able to compete against this type of competition, but hopefully will beat a few more D1 teams than the men probably will.

The men will probably finish somewhere between 13th and 16th, while the women will probably finish 11th - 14th.

remember if you're in town early tomorrow come on out to the meet at Lavern Gibson! It's free and top notch competition that we rarely see at ISU during the regular season.

other than our top 3 men, who ran so so, it was a very underwhelming meet for ISU. Again, we're just not very good. The men losing to Valpo and Indiana Wesleyan is just not good at all. It doesn't bode well for how well we'll do at the MVC meet, which is all that really matters. Valpo is an 8th or 9th place team in the MVC meet, and Indiana Wesleyan is an NAIA team. Just gonna be a long year

The women didn't run Brooke Moore for whatever reason, so that didn't help, but regardless, the women just aren't showing very good signs of being very good yet this year either.

It was a very humid meet this morning, but everyone was racing under the same conditions.
