Can’t wait to see the Sycs in person. The only reason I was happy Valpo was added to the MVC was this game right here.

I usually get to go to this game, but I'll be out of town for a long weekend vacation. I'll be watching on my iPad.

Huge game. Nothin' easy about it. Probably gonna be a pretty good atmosphere. Go State!

This should be a close game, but I have a bad feeling that Valpo pulls this one out. They have been pretty tough at home this year. They just beat Drake up there this past week.

Gut feeling says we win this one. Have nothing to base it on, as I have not seen much of Valpo. Just feel like we get this one.

Paging Mr. Williams. Mr. Christian Williams please report for work.

Valpo is a one-man team with Freeman-Liberty being that one man. They’re otherwise pretty athletic and love to get up and down, but this is basically the old SIU teams with Beane and nobody else. Christian Williams’ defense better have traveled with the team up north because he’s going to be needed. JFL is a terrific slasher/scorer and we have to throw the book at him to keep him out of the lane. Make him shoot outside shots and we have a chance.

JFL is also a terrific defender and most likely is on Key all game. This will be an interesting matchup and I hope we run him off of screen after screen and work on getting Key to the free throw line. Get JFL in foul trouble and we run away with this game.

Valpo has zero inside game, so we’re going to need Tre and Jake to FEAST in the post. Usually I’m an advocate for us speeding up the tempo and running and gunning, but not in this game. Valpo is one of the few teams in the Valley that may be better getting up and down than we, so I actually think we’re better off slowing this one down and making it ugly. Let Tre and Jake do what they do best, limit JFL to around his season averages, don’t let the supporting cast like Sackey, McMillan, etc. beat us, and we should be victorious.

Overall, we’re better than Valpo by a wide margin and this is one of those Valley road games we need to find a way to steal.

Vegas not sure about this one. Saying Valpo - 1 1/2. I don't think it will be a one possession game; pickum' by 7.
    ------------------

    And Valpo wins by 9

When I was a player, I didn't expect my teammates to play the way I did. I did expect them to work hard every day and get better. Larry Bird
